Arenobufagin
Anticancer Agent
Arenobufagin is a natural bufadienolide that targets the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway to induce apoptosis and autophagy in human hepatocellular carcinoma cells. It exhibits significant antineoplastic activity against both HepG2 and multidrug-resistant HepG2/ADM cell lines. Additionally, Arenobufagin inhibits VEGF-mediated angiogenesis through the suppression of VEGFR-2 signaling, making it a valuable compound for cancer research and therapeutic investigations.
