Ascr#3

Male Attractant

Ascr#3 is a pheromone that serves as a male attractant in nematodes. When combined with Ascr#2, it not only enhances male attraction but also induces the formation of dauer, the dormant larval stage. Additionally, Ascr#3 can mitigate the effects of male-enriched Ascr#10, making it a valuable tool for studies on nematode behavior and development. Its application extends to research focusing on reproductive strategies and environmental responses of nematodes.
