ASIC1a Antagonist
ASIC1a antagonist-1 is a noncompetitive antagonist of Acid Sensing Ion Channel 1a (ASIC1a), exhibiting an IC50 of 27 nM at pH 6.7. This compound alters the pH dependence of ASIC1a activation and effectively inhibits its maximal response. ASIC1a antagonist-1 has also been shown to completely prevent long-term potentiation (LTP) induction within the CA3-CA1 pathway, making it a valuable tool for research into brain diseases and related pathologies.
