Azemiglitazone potassium

Insulin Sensitizer

Azemiglitazone potassium is an insulin sensitizer that exhibits its primary mechanism through modulation of the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC). This PPARγ-sparing thiazolidinedione (Ps-TZD) demonstrates an IC50 of 18.25 μM for PPARγ binding. It shows promising biological activity in the research of fatty liver disease, dysfunctional lipid metabolism, inflammation, and insulin resistance. Azemiglitazone potassium has been shown to improve insulinemia and alleviate fatty liver disease in murine models, particularly when used alone or in combination with Liraglutide.
