Azvudine hydrochloride

NRTI Inhibitor

Azvudine hydrochloride is a potent nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that demonstrates significant antiviral activity against HIV, HBV, and HCV. It exhibits strong inhibition of HIV-1 and HIV-2, with effective concentrations (EC50) ranging from 0.03 to 6.92 nM for HIV-1 and 0.018 to 0.025 nM for HIV-2, including effects on NRTI-resistant strains. In addition to its antiviral properties, Azvudine hydrochloride serves as a versatile click chemistry reagent, featuring an azide group that facilitates copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) and strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with alkyne-containing molecules.
