β-1,3-1,4-Glucanase is a glucanase enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of β-glucan into low molecular weight glucose polymers. This process reduces the hydrophilicity and viscosity of chyme, mitigating the anti-nutritional effects associated with β-glucans. Key biological activities include improved feed intake, enhanced animal growth performance, regulation of cecal microbiota, and increased feed conversion ratios. It is widely utilized in animal nutrition research and feed formulation studies.
