β-Tocotrienol

Antioxidant

β-Tocotrienol is an isomer of vitamin E that functions primarily as an antioxidant. It exhibits anti-carcinogenic properties, particularly in human colon carcinoma and prostate cancer cells, and demonstrates inhibitory effects on A549 (GI50 = 1.38 μM) and U87MG (GI50 = 2.53 μM) cell lines. Additionally, β-Tocotrienol induces apoptosis in cancer cells and inhibits PD-L1 expression, thereby mitigating PD-L1-mediated immune suppression both in vitro and in vivo. This compound is valuable for research into cancer biology and immunotherapy applications.
