Baminercept
LIGHT Inhibitor
Baminercept is an Ig fusion protein that functions as a LIGHT inhibitor by targeting the lymphotoxin β receptor (LTβR). This compound regulates various subsets of circulating immune cells and is known to increase blood lymphocyte counts while decreasing plasma CXCL13 levels. Due to its mechanism of action, Baminercept is applicable in research focused on autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and primary Sjögren's syndrome. Caution is advised as Baminercept carries a high risk of hepatotoxicity.
