Beauvericin

Anticancer Fungal Mycotoxin

Beauvericin is a cyclohexapeptide derived from the Fusarium species, primarily targeting anticancer pathways. It exhibits significant anticancer activity by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, thereby suppressing the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Additionally, Beauvericin demonstrates immunomodulatory effects by inhibiting lymphocyte proliferation and disrupting the differentiation of human monocytes into macrophages, making it a valuable reagent for studies in cancer and immune response research.
