Benzylacyclouridine

Uridine Phosphorylase Inhibitor

Benzylacyclouridine is a potent and selective inhibitor of uridine phosphorylase, a key enzyme in the catabolism of uridine. By targeting uridine phosphorylase, it effectively inhibits the enzymatic activity of UPP1 and UPP2, which may help to modulate the cytotoxicity of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and its derivatives. This compound is valuable for research into cancer therapy and metabolic pathways involving uridine.
