BI-9740

CatC Inhibitor

BI-9740 is a selective inhibitor of cathepsin C (CatC) with an IC50 of 0.6 nM in murine models and 2.6 nM in rat studies. This compound effectively inhibits the production of active neutrophil elastase and reduces both neutrophil elastase and cathepsin G activities in rat bone marrow. BI-9740 has shown promise in alleviating pathological damage to grafts post-heart transplantation, optimizing reperfusion time, and enhancing left ventricular function. It is a valuable tool for research in organ transplantation and related areas.
