Bicinchoninic acid

AHAS Inhibitor

Bicinchoninic acid is an acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS) inhibitor that has been characterized in biological assays for its effects on plant growth. In an in vivo study focusing on rapeseed, Bicinchoninic acid demonstrated minimal biological activity, exhibiting only a 1.4% inhibition of root length at a concentration of 100 μg/mL. This compound may be utilized in research exploring metabolic pathways and herbicide resistance in plants.
