NMB-R Antagonist

BIM 23042 is a selective antagonist of the neuropeptide neuromedin B receptor (NMB-R, BB1), demonstrating a considerably weaker affinity for gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) receptor (BB2) with a 100-fold lower binding potential. This compound effectively inhibits calcium ion release induced by neuromedin B, ICI 216140, and DPDM-bombesin ethylamide. BIM 23042 is suitable for research applications investigating neuropeptide receptor signaling and its physiological implications.
