Biotinyl-Amylin (human)

CTR Agonist

Biotinyl-Amylin (human) is a biotin-labeled derivative of human amylin that acts as a competitive agonist for the Calcitonin Receptor (CTR) and Amylin receptors (AMY1, AMY2, and AMY3). By mimicking the action of endogenous amylin, this compound effectively activates CTR and AMY receptors, initiating critical downstream signaling pathways involving cAMP, CREB, and ERK1/2. Biotinyl-Amylin (human) is extensively used in research focused on metabolic regulation in obesity and diabetes, as well as in pharmacological studies, receptor localization, and ligand-binding assays relevant to Alzheimer's disease.
