Bisdionin C
GH18 Chitinases Inhibitor
Bisdionin C is a powerful inhibitor of GH18 chitinases, demonstrating an IC50 of 0.2 μM for A. fumigatus ChiB1 (AfChiB1). Additionally, it inhibits human macrophage chitotriosidase (HCHT) and acidic mammalian chitinase (AMCase) with IC50 values of 8.3 μM and 3.4 μM, respectively. This compound is valuable for research into chitinase-related biological processes and potential therapeutic applications in diseases associated with chitinase activity.
