Bisfentidine

H2 Receptor Antagonist

Bisfentidine is an H2 receptor antagonist that effectively inhibits the H2 receptors located on gastric parietal cells, leading to a reduction in gastric acid secretion. Additionally, Bisfentidine interacts with cytochrome P-450 in liver microsomes, influencing drug metabolism. This compound is valuable for research applications related to drug metabolic processes, lipid peroxidation, and the investigation of peptic ulcer disease.
