Bizaxofusp

Fusion Protein

Bizaxofusp is a fusion protein that combines interleukin-4 (IL-4) with a truncated form of Pseudomonas exotoxin. This compound selectively binds to IL-4 receptors on tumor cells, facilitating internalization, and delivering its toxic moiety to inhibit protein synthesis, leading to apoptosis in these cancerous cells. Bizaxofusp is primarily utilized in cancer research, providing insights into targeted therapies and apoptotic mechanisms in tumor biology.
