α1D-AR Antagonist

BMY 7378 free base is a selective antagonist of the α1D-adrenoceptor (α1D-AR). It exhibits a binding affinity approximately 100-fold higher for cloned rat α1D-AR (Ki = 2 nM) compared to the cloned rat α1A-AR and hamster α1B-AR, with Ki values of 800 nM and 600 nM, respectively. Additionally, BMY 7378 acts as a partial agonist at the 5-HT1A receptor, making it a valuable tool for studying adrenergic signaling pathways and potential therapeutic applications in cardiovascular and neurological research.
