Boldine

RANKL/RANK Inhibitor

Boldine, a RANKL/RANK inhibitor, is an isoquinoline alkaloid derived from the root of Litsea cubeba. This compound exhibits significant antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antitumor properties, effectively inhibiting osteoclast formation. Boldine induces apoptosis in human bladder cancer cells through modulation of key signaling pathways involving ERK, AKT, and GSK-3β. Additionally, it has therapeutic potential in bone diseases by down-regulating the OPG/RANKL/RANK signaling axis, making it valuable for research in rheumatoid arthritis and related conditions.
