Bopindolol

β-Adrenoceptors Antagonist

Bopindolol is a β-adrenoceptor antagonist with partial agonist activity, exhibiting non-selective binding to β1- and β2-ARs, while displaying low affinity for the β3-AR subtype. This compound possesses intrinsic sympathomimetic properties and membrane stabilizing actions, inhibits renin secretion, and interacts with 5-HT receptors. Bopindolol is utilized in research focused on essential and renovascular hypertension, serving as a proagent for Pindolol.
