Borapetoside E
Anti-Diabetic Agent
Borapetoside E primarily functions as an anti-diabetic agent. It has been shown to ameliorate hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, and hepatic steatosis in obese mouse models, while also affecting hyperlipidemia and enhancing oxygen consumption. Additionally, Borapetoside E inhibits the expression of SREBP transcription factors in both liver and adipose tissues, making it a valuable tool for studying metabolic disorders related to obesity and diabetes.
