Br-5MP-Propargyl

Protein Labeling

Br-5MP-Propargyl is a thiol-specific bioconjugation reagent designed for cysteine-specific protein labeling and modification. As a derivative of 5-Methylene pyrrolone (5MP), it enables reversible covalent bonding with cysteine residues. This compound features an alkyne group, allowing it to participate in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reactions, facilitating the attachment of azide-containing probes or tags to proteins. It is suitable for various applications in protein chemistry, including the study of protein interactions and the development of protein-based assays.
