Breceptin

B1/B2R Antagonist

Breceptin is an antagonist of the bradykinin B1 and B2 receptors (B1/B2R). This compound exhibits an irreversible antagonistic effect on the B2 receptor, effectively inhibiting bradykinin-induced vasodilation as demonstrated in rabbit carotid vein contraction assays. Additionally, Breceptin displays partial agonist activity in HEK 293 cells with high B2R expression, facilitating ERK1/2 phosphorylation and calcium ion mobilization while promoting arachidonic acid release and receptor internalization. Due to its unique properties, Breceptin serves as a valuable tool for research into breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.
