BTX161

CKIα Degrader

BTX161 is a thalidomide analog that functions as an effective degrader of CKIα. This compound promotes the degradation of CKIα in human acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells, leading to enhanced activation of the DNA damage response (DDR) and p53 while simultaneously stabilizing the p53 antagonist MDM2. BTX161 serves as a valuable tool for studying the role of CKIα in cancer biology and potential therapeutic strategies targeting the DDR pathway.
