Bucillamine

Antioxidant

Bucillamine is a potent sulfhydryl donor and antioxidant, primarily acting as an anti-inflammatory agent. Its unique properties contribute to the reduction of ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, particularly in high-risk organ transplants, and it exhibits antiangiogenic effects by inhibiting VEGF production. Bucillamine is valuable for research focused on choroidal neovascularization and rheumatoid arthritis, highlighting its potential therapeutic applications in these areas.
