Burimamide

H2-Receptor Blocker

Burimamide is a selective histamine H2-receptor blocker that effectively inhibits gastric acid secretion stimulated by pentagastrin or gastrin. Additionally, Burimamide exhibits alpha-adrenoceptor blocking activity. When combined with the H1-receptor antagonist Mepyramine, it demonstrates notable anti-inflammatory effects in a rat paw edema model induced by Compound 48/80, making it a valuable tool for research in gastric physiology and inflammation studies.
