Butamirate

Antitussive Agent

Butamirate is an orally active antitussive agent that targets central receptors in the brainstem to suppress cough reflexes. It also reduces airway resistance by inhibiting bronchospasm and exerting anti-inflammatory effects. Notably, Butamirate has been shown to inhibit glioblastoma growth and STAT3 activity, making it valuable for research applications in glioblastoma studies.
