Butyzamide

Mpl Activator

Butyzamide is an oral activator of the Mpl receptor, which is vital for thrombopoiesis through its interaction with thrombopoietin (TPO). This compound enhances the phosphorylation of key signaling proteins such as JAK2, STAT3, STAT5, and MAPK, thereby promoting cellular signaling pathways related to platelet production. Butyzamide has been shown to increase platelet levels in mouse xenotransplantation assays, making it a valuable tool for research in hematology and related fields.
