PfHT1/PbHT1 Inhibitor

C3361 is a selective inhibitor of the hexose transporters PfHT1 and PbHT1, exhibiting Ki values of 8.6 and 9.4 μM, respectively. Additionally, it inhibits TgGT1 with a Ki of 82 μM. C3361 effectively attenuates hepatic and ookinete development in Plasmodium berghei, with an IC50 of 15 μM, and demonstrates the capability to suppress blood-stage parasite growth. This compound is valuable for research focused on malaria and its underlying mechanisms.
