LuxN Antagonist
C450-0730 is a selective antagonist of the LuxN membrane-bound sensor kinase in Vibrio harveyi. It competitively binds to the AI-1 binding site on LuxN, thereby inhibiting the LuxN/AI-1 quorum sensing signal. This compound is valuable for investigating quorum sensing mechanisms and understanding bacterial communication pathways, making it a potential tool for research in microbial ecology and pathogenesis. Notably, C450-0730 exhibits minimal inhibitory activity against the LuxNI209F variant.
