Cadralazine

Antihypertensive Agent

Cadralazine is an orally active antihypertensive agent that acts as a peripheral arteriolar vasodilator. By selectively relaxing vascular smooth muscle, it promotes the widening of blood vessels, thereby effectively reducing peripheral resistance and lowering blood pressure. This compound is primarily utilized in hypertension research to explore vascular responsiveness and therapeutic interventions for managing elevated blood pressure.
