Cajanin

Anti-melanogenic Agent

Cajanin is a potent anti-melanogenic agent that exhibits antiproliferative activity in MNT1 cells. It effectively reduces melanin content by down-regulating the expression of key proteins involved in pigmentation, such as MITF, tyrosinase, TRP-1, and Dct (TRP-2). Additionally, Cajanin induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M and S phases, while also stimulating osteoblast proliferation. This compound holds promise for research in human hyperpigmented disorders and menopausal osteoporosis.
