Carmoterol hydrochloride is a selective and long-acting β2-adrenoceptor agonist with a pEC50 of 10.19. Demonstrating a 53-fold greater affinity for β2-adrenoceptors compared to β1-adrenoceptors, it plays a crucial role in respiratory pharmacology.
