Casein hydrolysate

ACE Inhibitor

Casein hydrolysate serves as an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, derived from enzymatic hydrolysis of casein. This complex mixture of bioactive peptides enhances cellular levels of glutathione and catalase, promoting immune function and increasing IL-2 production in response to ConA stimulation. Additionally, it exhibits properties such as metal ion chelation, free radical scavenging, antibacterial activity, and improved mineral absorption. By inhibiting ACE, casein hydrolysate effectively lowers blood pressure and mitigates bradykinin degradation.
