CDIBA

cPLA2 Inhibitor

CDIBA is an inhibitor of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) that effectively reduces the activation of this enzyme in rat diaphragm tissue. By decreasing the level of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species, CDIBA mitigates the adverse effects of prolonged mechanical ventilation. Additionally, it alleviates protein degradation, muscle atrophy, and strength decline in the diaphragm following such stress. CDIBA is valuable for research on ventilator-induced diaphragmatic dysfunction.
