Ceftolozane sulfate

Antipseudomonal Cephalosporin

Ceftolozane sulfate is an antipseudomonal cephalosporin that targets penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) essential for the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. By binding with high affinity to PBPs 1b, 1c, 2, and 3, it effectively inhibits cell wall synthesis. Ceftolozane sulfate is particularly useful in studying infections caused by P. aeruginosa and Enterobacteriaceae, making it a valuable reagent for microbiological research and antibiotic resistance studies.
