Ceramidase Inhibitor
Ceranib1 is a potent ceramidase inhibitor that selectively inhibits ceramidase activity towards exogenous ceramide analogs. This inhibition leads to the accumulation of various ceramide species while decreasing levels of sphingosine and sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P). Ceranib1 has been demonstrated to effectively suppress the proliferation of ovarian cancer cells, making it a valuable tool for research in cancer biology and therapeutic development.
