Cerberin

Cardiac Glycoside

Cerberin is a cardiac glycoside that primarily targets Na+/K+-ATPase, leading to increased intracellular sodium levels and prolonged action potential duration in cardiac cells. This compound exhibits significant cytotoxicity against KB and NCI H187 cancer cell lines, with IC50 values of 1.92 and 1.24 μg/mL respectively. Cerberin's dual activity as both a cytotoxic agent and a cardiac modulator makes it a valuable tool for research in cardiology and oncology.
