Cestrin

Cellulose Synthase 1 Inhibitor

Cestrin is a selective inhibitor of Cellulose Synthase 1 (CESA1), a key enzyme involved in cellulose biosynthesis. By inhibiting CESA1, Cestrin effectively reduces cell elongation and cellulose content, while disrupting the trafficking of cellulose synthase complexes and associated proteins, such as KORRIGAN1 and POM2/CSI1. This compound is valuable for research applications focused on cellulose metabolism and plant growth regulation.
