CHIKV Inhibitor

CHIKV-IN-5 is an effective chikungunya virus (CHIKV) inhibitor with an EC90 value of 0.45 μM. This compound disrupts CHIKV replication during the late stages of the viral life cycle by inhibiting the translation of structural proteins. In preclinical studies, CHIKV-IN-5 demonstrated significant stability in mouse microsomes and reduced footpad swelling, thereby limiting the dissemination of the virus to other tissues in infected mice. Its properties make CHIKV-IN-5 a valuable tool for studying CHIKV pathogenesis and potential therapeutic interventions.
