Cholesteryl sulfate sodium

Cholesterol Synthesis Agonist

Cholesteryl sulfate sodium is a cholesterol biosynthesis agonist that targets NPC2. By competitively binding to NPC2, it activates SREBP2, thereby promoting cholesterol synthesis with an EC50 of 50 μM. This compound enhances the self-assembly of Mitoxantrone hydrochloride and contributes to the repair of the intestinal mucosal barrier while inhibiting inflammation through the regulation of serine protease activity and the PKCη signaling pathway. Additionally, cholesteryl sulfate sodium is integral to platelet cell membrane function, supports platelet adhesion, and influences selective protein kinase C isoforms, impacting keratinocyte differentiation.
