Chrysosplenetin

Anti-cancer/Anti-malaria/Anti-osteoporosis Agent

Chrysosplenetin is an orally active polymethoxyflavone that targets multiple pathways to exert its biological effects. It inhibits topoisomerase, leading to DNA protection and apoptosis induction, thereby demonstrating significant anticancer activity. In the context of malaria, Chrysosplenetin acts as a sensitizer, reversing Artemisinin resistance through P-glycoprotein inhibition and enhancing Artemisinin efficacy. Additionally, it promotes bone formation and exhibits anti-osteoporotic effects by activating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, making it a valuable compound for cancer, malaria, and osteoporosis research applications.
