Chymase

Digester Enzyme

Chymase is a serine protease primarily found in mast cells, fibroblasts, and vascular endothelial cells, functioning as a protein-digester enzyme. It is secreted into the extracellular matrix in response to inflammatory signals, tissue injury, and cellular stress. Chymase plays a critical role in the production of angiotensin II (Ang II), making it a valuable tool for research applications in cardiovascular disease and inflammation studies.
