CI-996

AT1 Receptor Antagonist

CI-996 is a potent and selective orally active antagonist of the angiotensin II (Ang II) type 1 (AT1) receptor. It exhibits high affinity for the AT1 receptor, effectively displacing specifically bound [125I]Ang II in rat liver membranes with an IC50 of 0.8 nM. This compound demonstrates significant blood pressure-lowering activity, making it a valuable tool for research into cardiovascular diseases and hypertension therapies.
