HCV NS3 Helicase Inhibitor
CID-50930756 is a selective inhibitor of the HCV NS3 helicase, exhibiting an IC50 value of 22 μM. This compound effectively inhibits the helicase-catalyzed unwinding of nucleic acids, thereby disrupting HCV replication in hepatoma cells with a stably transfected subgenomic HCV replicon. Additionally, at concentrations up to 10 μM, CID-50930756 demonstrates minimal toxicity to hepatoma cells. While it shows weak DNA-binding activity, displacing less than 20% of SYBR Green I from DNA at 100 μM, it remains a valuable tool for studying hepatitis C virus biology and potential therapeutic applications.
