Citric acid trisodium

Organic Acid

Citric acid trisodium, also known as sodium citrate, functions primarily as an organic acid. It is recognized for its ability to induce apoptosis and facilitate cell cycle arrest in the G2/M and S phases in HaCaT cells. Additionally, citric acid trisodium is known to contribute to oxidative damage in liver tissues by reducing antioxidative enzyme activities. Its versatile properties make it valuable in various industries as an acidulant, emulsifier, sequestrant, and buffering agent.
