SMM Inhibitor

CK-571 is a selective inhibitor of smooth muscle myosin-2 (SMM), exhibiting an IC50 value of 86 nM. This compound demonstrates significantly higher IC50 values towards cardiac muscle myosin (CMM), skeletal muscle myosin (SKM), and non-muscle myosin-2A (NMM-2A), which are 2.3 μM, 42 μM, and 0.58 μM, respectively. CK-571 is a valuable tool for research focused on smooth muscle-related conditions, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, facilitating the investigation of therapeutic strategies targeting SMM activity.
