Conbercept

VEGF Inhibitor

Conbercept is a potent VEGF inhibitor that functions as a soluble receptor decoy, targeting all isoforms of VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, and PlGF with high affinity (Kd values of 0.5 pM, 8 pM, and 5 pM, respectively). This recombinant fusion protein, comprising regions from VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 fused to the human IgG1 Fc domain, demonstrates significant anti-inflammatory properties, effectively lowering the levels of VEGF, TNF-α, and IL-6, while reducing inflammatory cell infiltration. Conbercept has shown efficacy in decreasing tumor growth in oncology studies and is applicable in treating various ocular diseases, including polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, diabetic macular edema, and pathologic myopia-related choroidal neovascularization.
