Copper ionophore I

Copper Ion Carrier

Copper Ionophore I is a potent copper ion carrier that regulates intracellular copper levels, leading to the induction of cuproptosis in cancer cells such as 4T1 (IC50 = 0.45 μM) and MDA-MB-231 (IC50 = 1.21 μM). This compound elevates reactive oxygen species (ROS) and disrupts mitochondrial function. Additionally, Copper Ionophore I downregulates the expression of key proteins, including FDX1, DLAT, and LIAS, and activates immune-related pathways to enhance T cell infiltration. It is a valuable tool for cancer research, particularly in studies focusing on copper metabolism and therapeutic interventions.
