COTC

Glyoxalase Inhibitor

COTC is a glyoxalase inhibitor derived from the bacterial metabolite found in S. griseosporeus. It demonstrates notable anticancer activity by inhibiting glyoxalase I in the presence of glutathione. COTC effectively suppresses the proliferation of HeLa cells with an IC50 value of 18 µg/mL and has been shown to reduce tumor growth and enhance survival rates in an Ehrlich murine spontaneous adenocarcinoma model, making it a valuable tool for cancer research.
